Green Screen Backdrops- Does Fabric Makes The Difference?

There are several different opinions to make green screen backdrops. My first green screen was home made one. I was looking for green screen backdrops my choices were several fabric made backdrops. I had to decide which fabrics are best for green screening, what fabrics will last longer and how should they be, with or without paint.

I found out that the easiest way was to go to a fabric store, any store with fabrics in it. I had few ideas in mind it made me look through all the different fabrics in the store to find something that suits my green screen backdrop purposes.

I was checking on a few deferent specific types of fabric for my green screen backgrounds. Fabric thickness was a best choice that worked for me it was heavy so it did not fold and wrinkled.

Reflective fabric – When selecting a fabric I also kept in mind how the lights I use to light the screen in my studio will reflect off the fabric. If you feel unconfident in your choice, I recommend on asking for a sample, sometime they will be free, take them and make some pictures of it under different lighting.

The width of the fabric – It makes a huge difference in price. You do not want to fold it too much through the wider fabric is more difficult to handle if you have a small car.

To make it perfect green screen backdrops, the fabric must be finished on all four sides. Normally, it also has useful pocket rods and seams. It can be machined washed as well.

The tendency to wrinkle – One big problem with some of the fabrics is because they are tending to wrinkle. Make sure to wash the fabric after you buy it and iron it to get out as many of the wrinkles you can.
